Welcome to Artistic Dance Academy! We offer classes in Ballet, Tap, Lyrical, Hip-Hop, and Jazz for ages 3-17 years old. Students have the opportunity to showcase their talent in a full costume recital at the ending of the dance season.
To enroll in class, please complete the two step registration process:
1. Enroll in classes by completing the waiver form at dancingada.com/registration and pay a one-time annual registration fee of $25.
2. Register at richlandrec.com (Create an account, Select Programs, Select Artistic Dance Academy Classes, and pay class tuition).
Monthly tuition should be paid at richlandrec.com
*A late registration fee of $10.00 will be applied on the 11th of each month.
*Once you complete registration at dancingada.com/registration, you will have access to the Parent Portal. The Parent Portal will allow you to enroll in classes, pay registration and recital fees, receive class updates, and much more.The Parent Portal is an easy-to-use, secure communication tool connecting teachers, parents and students.
Artistic Dance Academy Class Descriptions
Tiny Tutus Ballerinas– Toddler & Pre-School
Mommy and Me (Ages 2-3): Mommy & Me class is an introductory toddler dance class where a parent or guardian joins them during their dance class. Mommy & Me classes introduce toddlers to our studio and make sure they feel comfortable learning to dance with us before trying an independent class like our Tiny Tutus Ballerinas experience. This is a non-recital class.
*Wear all pink: leotard, tights, and ballet shoes
Tiny Tutus Ballerinas - Pre-School Ballet & Creative Movement (Ages 3-5): In preschool ballet dancers dive into ballet technique while still enjoying a fun and creative class. Creative movement uses beautiful music, improvisation and story-dances to engage preschoolers' active imagination. This class will perform one dance in the year-end recital.
*Wear all pink: leotard, tights, and ballet shoe
Tutus & Minis Program – Early Elementary
Tutus 2 Pre-Ballet & Tap (Ages 5-7): This class is designed for dancers who want to try both ballet and tap dance. Tap is great for fine motor development, musicality and rhythm. Dancers will perform at least one dance genre (Ballet or Tap) in the year-end recital.
*Wear all pink: leotard, tights, and ballet shoes
Mini Hip-Hop (Ages 6-8): Fundamental level of hip-hop which focuses on rhythm, musicality, and basic footwork. This class will perform one dance in the year-end recital.
*Wear comfortable dance attire and sneakers
Enrichment Program: Level 1-3
Ballet 1 (Ages 8-12): Fundamentals of ballet technique is taught in the traditional sequence of a ballet class: warm up, barre exercises, stretch, and center floor. This class will perform one dance in the year-end recital.
*Wear black leotard, pink ballet shoes, & ballet pink tights
Ballet 1,2 (Ages 8-12): Fundamentals and Intermediate levels of ballet technique is taught in the traditional sequence of a ballet class: warm up, barre exercises, stretch, and center floor. This class will perform one dance in the year-end recital.
*Wear black leotard, ballet shoes, & ballet pink tights
Ballet & Lyrical 2,3 (Ages 11-17): Intermediate and Advanced ballet technique is taught in the traditional sequence of a ballet class: warm up, barre exercises, stretch, and center floor. Lyrical techniques along with freedom of expression and interpretation of music. This class will perform at least 2 dance genres in the year-end recital.
*Wear black leotard, ballet shoes, & ballet pink tights
Pre-Pointe & Pointe (Ages 11-17): Students will utilize previously learned ballet technique while working in pointe shoes. Each class includes barre exercises and strength training. Class requirements: Students must have 2-3 consecutive years of ballet training and attend ballet class prior to pointe.
Tap 1,2 (Ages 9-17) – Fundamentals and Intermediate levels of tap. Students will learn both rhythms tap (focuses more on music and rhythms), as well as musicality and timing. This class will perform at least one dance in the year-end recital.
*wear comfortable dance attire and black tap shoes
Hip Hop & Jazz 1,2 (Ages 9-12): Fundamentals and Intermediate levels of hip-hop and jazz, which focuses on rhythm, musicality, and basic footwork. This class will perform at least two dance genres (Hip-Hop & Jazz) in the year-end recital.
*Wear comfortable dance attire, sneakers, and nude jazz shoe
Teen Hip-Hop & Jazz 2,3 (Ages 13-17): Intermediate and Advanced levels of hip-hop and jazz, which focuses on rhythm, musicality, and basic footwork. This class will perform at least two dance genres (Hip-Hop & Jazz) in the year-end recital. No previous dance experience required.
*Wear comfortable dance attire, sneakers, and nude jazz shoes
Private Lessons-Students will be able to receive one-on-one assistance with a qualified teacher to work on dance techniques, form, posture and performance.
